7. Membership Qualifications
Regular Membership
A. Ordinary Membership
The following persons who are engaged in economic activities or provision of economic information and who have an office in and around Sydney
- Legal organization’s (including corporations, partnerships, associations, statutory or governmental bodies) established under the laws of Japan
- Legal organizations established under the state of federal laws of Australia, which are subsidiary of Japanese legal organizations;and
- Australian legal organization which managing director or its equivalent is a Japanese citizen.
One employee of a Japanese legal organization engaged in economic activities or provision of economic information in and around Sydney may become an ordinary member only if the Japanese legal organization is not a member.
B. Special Membership
Japanese statutory bodies which are engaged in economic activities or the provision of economic information and have an office in and around Sydney may become a special member (instead of an ordinary member)
Associate Membership
Australian legal organizations having an office in and around Sydney and engaged in economic activities related to Japan

The Board of Directors, 5 subcommittees categorized by the type of industries, and three committees operate activities in the following area:
- Opinion making
- Various types of training programs, seminars, lectures, networking meetings, and friendship exchange meetings
- Information and PR activities (To deal with inquiries and claims, to issue monthly newsletters, and to publish The Outline of Australia once a year)
